Orla Shevlin

Orla graduated in Law from Queen's University Belfast in 2002. She completed her training at Northumbria University in 2005 and qualified as a solicitor in January 2008. In between her various studies Orla found time to travel extensively, visiting South Africa, Australia and New Zealand and volunteering in Brazil.
Orla gained an excellent foundation in conveyancing, litigation and employment law during her apprenticeship at a highly reputable City Centre firm before joining the Litigation Department in Edwards & Company in January 2008. She currently manages a large number of Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims and is fast becoming an expert in this type of personal injury litigation.
In addition, Orla is developing her knowledge and skills in employment law. She represents both employers and employees in relation to unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal cases and cases alleging discrimination, on the grounds of religious belief/ political opinion, sex, equal pay, disability and race. She also advises on terms and conditions of employment, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
