Melanie Jones
Melanie joined Edwards & Co. as a partner in 2003, having already gained 15 years experience in litigation in N.I. She took over the running of the litigation department and has developed the team to its current capacity of 9 assistant solicitors and 3 paralegals, twice its former size.
Melanie is currently leading the hearing loss litigation, around 2500 cases at present. Handling this number of cases is, of course, an area in which the firm has exclusive and unrivalled experience; remembering that each of these clients is an individual is our great skill.
Within the litigation department, Melanie also leads the firm's employment law team. This is an area which she has developed in recent years and in which she has now become a specialist advising individuals, companies and statutory bodies at all levels.
In addition, Melanie contributes to the education of solicitor trainees by regularly teaching tutorials at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen's and is also involved in the Advocacy working party of the Law Society.
