Julie Leonard
Julie Leonard was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1984 after obtaining her Law degree from the University of Warwick. She was previously a partner in a busy south Belfast Practice, where she had a wide and varied practice, specialising in particular in litigation, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy.
Julie joined our extremely busy litigation department in September 2008 and deals with a variety of litigation cases including claims for industrial injuries, hearing loss and general negligence. Julie specialises in employment law and has recently assumed responsibility for a large claimant action in the Industrial Tribunal representing hundreds of individual clients fighting for equal pay for equal value work as per The Fixed-term Employees (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2002 and Part time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable
Treatment) Regulations (NI) 2000. Julie also advises our Charity and Trust clients on any employment issues that arise.
She has also been invited to lecture at the Institute of Professional legal studies at Queens University and regularly tutors trainee solicitors in a variety of subjects.
