Peter Bowles
Peter joined Edwards & Co. in August 2005 specialising in personal injury
litigation and carries a large caseload with a particular emphasis on
industrial injury and disease. Peter was previously involved in advising
Northern Ireland Health & Social Services Trusts and Insurers in the conduct
of the Defence of medical negligence, employers' and public liability. Peter
also has considerable experience in judicial review applications, having
acted in response to many reviews of public policy and decisions.
As well as personal injury litigation, Peter conducts a large debt
recovery caseload on behalf of many businesses and individuals and has
considerable experience in Enforcing Judgements, Bankruptcy and Winding Up
proceedings.
Of note in the past twelve months Peter has successfully concluded several
asbestos related disease cases, noise induced hearing loss cases on behalf
of serving and retired Police Officers and servicemen, and has acted on
behalf of the Forensic Science Service in the Omagh Bomb trial.
Outside of work Peter has a keen interest in politics and has had the
privelege of attending the American Council of Young Political Leaders in
Washington and was made an Honorary Citizen of Lexington Kentucky and
admitted to the Honourable Order of Kentucky Colonels who have counted
individuals as diverse as Winston Churchill and Hunter S. Thompson amongst
their membership.
