At Edwards & Co. it is always a bit of a challenge to think up new and interesting ways to continue our support for our charity, Out of Afrika. However, in February of this year we hit on a fantastic idea that would raise money and get everyone fighting fit for the summer; we would enter the Belfast City Marathon Relay! In a moment of weakness 10 assorted members of staff and their partners agreed to take part. Two teams with a healthy competitive spirit amongst them were duly entered and the preparation began.

The day dawned chilly but thankfully dry and everyone assumed their positions along the route with more than a little trepidation. However, it was clear that all the training and hard work had paid off as both teams put in excellent performances and finished the race in just over 4 hours.

The day was a great success, rounded off by a well earned lunch and in some cases, a cool refreshing pint! A total of £1095 was raised for Out of Afrika and the Firm would like to thank all those who so generously supported our efforts.
